Celebrating Makar Sankranti in Jaipur brought back some special memories for actor-couple Malini Kapoor and Ajay Sharma, who were in town to celebrate the festival. Malini, who enjoyed flying kites and relishing traditional delicacies, says, “I feel deeply connected to the Pink City, which has now become my home too. On Makar Sankranti, the vibe is unbelievable. Jaipur’s architecture makes it magical. Also, the city’s dense layout, terraces, and havelis create endless rooftop-to-rooftop kite battles. Literally every family is on their rooftops, flying kites and celebrating together. And the evening sky, with lanterns and fireworks, gives Diwali vibes.”
